Well-Baby and Well-Child Checks help you know if your baby is growing and thriving as he should. These check-ups will include a physical exam and, if needed, vaccinations (shots). The provider will check the child’s heart, ears, nose, and throat. He or she will measure and weigh the child, as well as check other signs that your baby or child is doing well. The provider will ask you questions about your child’s health and activities, and will provide information about what to expect at his or her age.  Most insurance companies recognize that wellness visits are essential, and will pay for the wellness services and immunizations provided. If your baby or child has other issues that need to be discussed that are not related to wellness, out of pocket charges may occur.
