To breast feed or to bottle feed is a very personal decision and each family must do what is right for them. Doctors everywhere strongly encourage moms to consider breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding has many benefits both for Mom and her baby. Breastmilk is the perfect food. It has been shown to help reduce sickness and hospitalizations, lower the risk of certain lifelong diseases and prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). It also helps Mom and baby bond. For Moms, breastfeeding can help shed baby weight, lower the risk of ovarian cancer and reduce the risk of osteoporosis, a disease that causes bones to break more easily. On top of it all, breastfeeding is much cheaper than buying formula!



For all of its benefits, learning how to breastfeed isn't always easy and Moms can sometimes become frustrated.
