Pregnancy Care
At Family Practice Associates in Kearney, NE, our family practitioners provide prenatal care and follow-up during pregnancy. It is recommended to schedule a visit after a positive pregnancy test to begin routine prenatal care.
During your first prenatal visit, your provider may estimate a due date, review your personal and family medical history, discuss possible risk factors, and order initial lab work when appropriate. During an early visit, you may also meet with a Patient Account Representative who can review your insurance coverage and discuss available resources, including Medicaid, if applicable.
Pregnancy-related services may include:
- Prenatal check-ups
- Recommended prenatal testing, including genetic screening when indicated
- Nutrition guidance during pregnancy
- Discussion and preparation for labor and delivery
- Postpartum follow-up care
To schedule your first prenatal appointment, please contact our office.
